Colonic hydrotherapy is often shrouded with
mystery. However it is a simple procedure where
water gently cleanses the colon (large intestine). At
Aqua Health, the procedure involves using a pencil
thin tube that is self inserted about 4-5 cms into
the bottom (anus). Double filtered, temperature
controlled water flows into the colon, then out
around the tube into a well. You lay on a “toilet-
bed” through out the whole procedure, which is
ultimately relaxing once the initial fear is overcome.
Everything that comes out is contained within the
well and visible only through a viewing tube, before
it heads off to Werribee.
